Two Laws of Parenting

My dental hygienist had her first baby—a beautiful baby boy. As you can imagine, she was very excited. Her questions were the same as other new parents with whom I spoke. What do I need to know to help me with this monumental task called parenting? What are the do’s and don’ts of parenting? Where is the primer? Are there any manuals, job-aid guides, cheat sheets, checklists, ABC or 123 procedures? Unfortunately, we know it’s not that simple, but I promised that I would write from my personal experience about the two laws and one principle of successful parenting. Continue reading

It’s NOT just about BELIEVABILTY it’s about CREDIBILTY!

It’s not about features, or product differentiation, sales pitch or social events. It’s about credibility baby! That’s the most important quality you can demonstrate to your new and existing customers and prospects. Fortunately for the slaves all the oranges were profitably sold that very same afternoon. The Master was quite pleased because he had made a substantial profit from the sale that day, but as usual none was passed on to the slaves. Nigel, one of the younger brave slaves however asked the Master for a few pennies to purchase some oil to make a special type of family bread. The Master was appalled. He turned glaring at the young, promising slave with scorn. Continue reading

People with goals have the ability to do today what the rest of the population might eventually do later. All of our goals are developed out of the endless possibilities. But more importantly, our goals are limited only by what we believe is possible for us! So, start first by knowing that it is indeed possible for you. Identify the goals for your life – then be specific. Define the details, because specificity = power. Our specific goals become a concentrated focused laser beam that illuminates and keeps us on the correct pathway. Continue reading
